Welcome to Ghetto Sports Foundation Ug

Ghetto Sports Foundation

A Sports Foundation giving a helping hand to the less privileged athletes in the ghetto community

Our top team is MUYENGA FC, a community football team made up of two (under 17 and the senior) teams, the team started its course on the 15th of march 2016 with a small number of talented players around the muyenga community with Mr. Kintu Monday as our patron.

Muyenga FC has participated in several domestic competitions, like the kojja cup, simbwa cup,and a few to mention and has managed to win some with great victory, the team attempted to join the FUFA 5th division under the former coach (OBED BENSON) which wasn’t successful due to low funds.

The team has been operating since then but with playing friendly games, There’s serious training going on including the under 17 weekend sessions, the under-17 started this year to strengthen the young talents of muyenga, Training takes place at a private owned property /pitch just next to bukasa-kalungi road.

The team faces several challenges like luck of enough training equipment (like jerseys, boots, balls, bibs, cones, first aid kit) no professional coach at the moment especially for the under 17, low quality training facility and others, Any support from companies or people to uplift the team would highly be appreciated, other than that the players are very interested and committed to the game.

We’re Here to Support Them

Join our campaign to lower the immense scarcity of sports equipment and support in the low
income precincts of Uganda Kampala.

Goals

As a ghetto community in Uganda we face several challenges especially within the sports fraternity, a lot of youth athletes give up on their talents due to lack of early-career-support, in terms of facilities and training equipment.

As Ghetto sports foundation, we’re here to gather as much support as we can get and extend it to those who need it the most, let’s join hands and beat these GOALS

1. TRAINING EQUIPMENT.
There’s high scarcity of training gear, boots, cones, agility ladders, water bottles, huddles and many others.
We aim to provide some, or all of these.
Let’s equip the lads

2.  SPORTS HEALTH AND NUTRITION.
The average daily spend on food in Uganda is $5.65 (20,712 USh) many of our youths cannot afford that or even less.
We also lack clean drinking water during sports activities, and energy boosters for fuel.
Our aim is to organize team cook outs, provide clean drinking water and also get proper first aid equipment on site.
